Transfer Grant
Awarded by the Foundation of Catholic Education in partnership with Saint James Regional Catholic School. Any student who transfers into Saint James in grades 2-7 from a non-Catholic school for the 2026-2027 school year will be eligible for this grant. This is a two-year program. In year one the grant awarded is $1000, and in year two the grant awarded is $500. Again, please share this information with friends who are thinking about making a move.

PA Knights of Columbus- Grant
Catholic School Student Grant Program - PA Knights of Columbus (kofcpennsylvania.org)
The Educational Foundation will be processing at least fifty (50) $1,000.00 Knights of Columbus Student Grants paid to the Catholic School Grades 1 through 12 where the Knight of Columbus member’s child is enrolled. Applications will be accepted by the Educational Foundation Secretary, if postmarked no later than January 31, 2026. The Educational Foundation members will then hold a drawing, and the winners will be notified by the Secretary and also posted on the state web site. Only applications post marked no later than January 31 each year will be eligible for the drawing.
Scholarship Opportunities
Margie & John Lenge Scholarship Fund
John Lenge is an Alumni of Saint James Catholic High School. John Lenge taught art and drafting at St. James Catholic High School until it closed in 1993. Following it's closure, he began teaching Art at Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast High School where he remains a member of the faulty still. Margie and John have committed to awarding $1000.00 to a Saint James Regional Catholic School student each year through 2029. This scholarship will be awarded by the Saint James Regional School to an upper grade level student who has demonstrated a strong interest in Art subject and whose family has a demonstrated need for financial aid.
Lawrence and Phyllis Rebbecchi Sr. Memorial Scholarship -
Rebbecchi Memorial Fund (stanthonysswphila.com)
For eligible 7th or 8th grade students. $1250.00 awarded to up to 8 students from local parishes. Must be a practicing catholic. Must have a "B" or better average or equivalent GPA. Completed application must be submitted as a PDF. Submit prior marking period report card. Submit a 500-word max. essay on "Why Catholic education is important to you."
Ricky Borraccini Memorial Scholarship Fund
Was established to honor the memory of Ricky "Cricket" Borraccini who was tragically killed in a car accident on July 3, 1983. Ricky was just 19 years old. Children First America

Children First America Delaware County Pennsylvania is organized for the purpose of distributing scholarships to needy families of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and will not limit it’s scholarships to children who attend one school only. Recipients are free to choose the schools of their choice whether private, public or parochial.
Scholarships Awarded at 8th Grade Graduation
In recognition of meeting the challenge of balancing school and home life, and in the spirit of their motto of "Friendship, Unity, and Christian Charity," Black Jack Kehoe Division 4 Delaware County awards a $500 scholarship to two students who are choosing to continue their education at a Catholic High School and who exemplify these values.
In recognition of a young lady and a young man who are members of Saint Madeline Parish and who will be attending a Catholic High School in September, the St. Madeline Sodality of Blessed Virgin Mary awards a $100 scholarship to two students who have attained a high average in Religion.
