Reading Olympics is a fun, team-based reading competition organized by the Archdiocese, open to students in grades 4th through 8th. Over the school year, students work together to read from a selected book list and prepare for a trivia-style competition in the spring, where they’ll face off against other schools. Most of the reading is done independently at home or in school, with occasional team check-ins and practice sessions closer to the event. Students track their progress and share notes to help the team prepare. Parents are encouraged to get involved by reading along, helping with notes, attending meetings (with clearances), or donating books from the list.
An information session was just held for students who are interested in Reading Olympics. If your child attended, please be on the look out for flyers that were sent home with them. Mrs. Cunnane has also created a link with information. Click HERE.
