Last fall, Mr. Kane's 6th grade class drafted letters to the White House expressing their views on issues that were important to them. Students wrote about how they would like to see the country united, how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted them and their families, and the importance of preserving the environment. Some students even expressed their thoughts on how vital protecting their Constitutional rights as United States citizens is. This fall, the White House wrote back! Our students' voices were heard and acknowledged by the Executive Office. We are proud of our students for making their voices heard and learning about how to be an active citizen!

From September 15th through October 15th, St. James Regional celebrated Hispanic Heritage month in Spanish classes! Spanish teacher, Mrs. McGuire, led students from grades Kindergarten through 8th grades through different lessons and activities to learn more about Hispanic cultures.

October is Fire Prevention Safety month! St. James Regional partnered with our friends from the Ridley Park Fire Department to help our students learn about fire safety throughout the week of October 2nd!

Recognizing that in classrooms around the country, teachers spend their own money to stock their classrooms, President Mike Ritz organized a Teacher Supply Drive to help support our teachers this school year. "Many of our members were teachers and know first-hand what teachers do for their students," Mr. Ritz said. The Bulldogs came together to gift our teachers over 10 boxes of supplies and $3,000! Flocco's Shoes will be at our school gym on Thursday, July 29 from 4 pm to 7 pm for our once a year shoe sale. Please see the attached flyer for details. Our uniform exchange will be set up in the school yard during the shoe sale. Items in the uniform exchange are free to a good home. Uniforms in good condition will also be accepted at that time.

St. James Regional is thrilled to welcome its new principal, Mr. Daniel Salvatore. He comes to St. James as an experienced educator, administrator, and ready to lead our community of faith and learning.
